Who He Is
The Industrial Cybersecurity (ICS) Brain Trust Behind NEXUS.
Muhammad Faraz Rehan is the founding force behind NEXUS Cybersecurity — its strategic direction, its technical standards, its client relationships, and its day-to-day delivery. He does not sit behind a team. He is the first call, the scoping conversation, the technical authority, and the person who signs off on the work. When you engage NEXUS, you engage him.
20+ years across IT and Industrial Cybersecurity (ICS) — not advisory distance, but operational depth built inside live environments.
From network infrastructure and systems integration through to ICS architecture, global delivery, and cyber lab R&D — he has been the engineer on plant floors, the architect evaluating OT products before they reach clients, the technical lead presenting security strategy to senior stakeholders, and the person supporting global sales teams on complex OT SOC proposals, POC design, and lab-based testing across continents.
What He Has Built
At Honeywell, he was a core member of the design team that developed the OT SIEM capability — from architecture through implementation. He was involved in early POC, product evaluation, and testing of Honeywell CyberInsight: from OT design validation through data diode integration and testing in Honeywell's cyber lab, before the platform reached customer deployments. He drove major improvements to the csHAZOP methodology and PCN Hardening programme — refining service structure, strengthening IEC 62443 alignment, and building the PCNH Cybersecurity training and certification programme that standardised delivery across the team.
He led Risk and Vulnerability Assessments for major operators across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Kazakhstan — Gap and Risk Assessments in full alignment with IEC 62443, with findings tracked through to remediation.
His implementation experience covered full-lifecycle delivery: network segregation, DMZ design, OT intrusion detection (Dragos, Nozomi), SIEM (Wazuh, Elastic Stack), endpoint hardening, and domain security across DCS and SCADA environments — spanning operators in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kazakhstan, the UK, and the US.
US Patent Application · USPTO
Co-inventor: AI/ML-powered cybersecurity threat assessment system for ICS environments — automated log decoding, structured threat classification, and real-time alerting where conventional tools produce noise, not intelligence.

Grounded in core network engineering, infrastructure design, and systems integration — the IT depth that underpins effective IT/OT convergence and cross-domain security architecture.
What You Get When You Engage NEXUS
The founder on your engagement — not a junior resource. Muhammad leads every client conversation, scoping session, and technical delivery. No account manager between you and the person doing the work.
20+ years of operational depth — not advisory distance. From IT infrastructure through ICS architecture, cyber lab R&D, and global delivery across the Middle East, Central Asia, the UK, and internationally — he knows what your network looks like before you describe it.
Implementation as the measure, not the report. Every engagement is tracked through to working, tested controls — not signed off at the slide deck.
A firm being built with purpose. The service portfolio, brand, and client relationships are designed to scale without compromising the quality that comes from a senior specialist being personally accountable for every piece of work.
